The under-eye area features some of the most delicate and easily abused skin on the face. It is dry with very few oil glands, which helps make it one of the first areas to show signs of aging. My exclusive homemade eye salves contain moisturizing and soothing ingredients and can help this delicate area to look and feel its best.
My smooth and improved eye balm is specifically to use under eyes on dark circles and around eyes to smooth wrinkles and dry skin. It contains two well known herbal healers for tthe skin, comfrey and calendula. I use organic flowers, and leaves for a full effect.
The roots of comfrey contain allotonin, a chemical substance that promotes cell regeneration and reduces inflammation. Comfrey promotes healing and is good for bruising as well as wrinkles, dry skin and a host of other complaints. The added Shea butter makes this silky and smooth gliding on the eye area gentle and without tugging and boasts serious anti-aging benefits.
Now with Calendula.
Calendula has anti-inflammatory properties, and can thus help soothe inflammations and red skin, but also reduces bruises, including dark circles.
It will help fight acne, eczema and psoriasis extremely well, which can accumulate around the eyes in particular.
It is moisturizing and calming to the skin around the eyes (and everywhere else)
It reduces dark circles/damage under your eyes used with comfrey it heightens the effect.
Calendula helps against varicose veins, you can apply this all over!
Calendula works effectively but very gently and is especially good for dry, sensitive skin, and even baby skin.
Added are orange and spearmint, essential oil for a fresh and light scent.
The balm is best used at night to allow time for the herbal extracts to penetrate the delicate skin layers and promote a new level of healing and skin regeneration.
